Is it feasible to convert my kyosho spider GPII for use off-road ?
I guess it's a case of much more movement in the suspension, and a higher
ride height ?
Anything else I'm missing ?

This is a car I've been running on-road for a few yrs, and I know it well..
No major probs. I now want to try off-road, and am considering buying an
off-road truck (hpi mt), but just thought .. well.. mabye I can convert my
on-road machine to work "well" off-road.

I've added a tuned pipe and a two-speed transmission for on-road, but can go
back to single speed very easily. (hope i kept all those "spare" bits !)

The mod(s) would need to be "reversible", as I do like tarmac racing also

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Declan

should be easy. The spider shares lots of parts with the Baja Beetle/Dodge
ram/Snakebite QRC cars
You'll need longer shocks, probably the hex drive hubs, wheels & tires. You
may need to improvise some type of shock tower...not sure.
The good news is that it could easily be switched back. the bad news is that
after some off roading, the belts will be trashed.
Oh yeah, i would definitely spare the 2 speed from offroad abuse.
