I don't have a photo yet...but I picked up the MPI Micro LED System for my Slow Stick last year and it is still running strong. Plugs directly into your receiver. I purchased an additional light strand for the tail.
If you want to get up and running fast, I recommend it. ALLeRC has 'em. http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1398

The new slow stick X from Millennium RC
Before this plane I'd had the "original" GWS SS lit in almost every way imaginable from small flashlights to glow sticks, Wal Mart "celebration lights", LEDs, glo-wire, and on and on......Then I met James Karpy from MRC and told him what I wanted to do so he hooked me up with one of the first if not THE first SSX RTC(ready to cover) and she was born.....Check out my blog to see how.
This is my SSX Nite Stik....

Not much to speak of, but the one time I went night flying, I took two of the 10-light stands of Wal-Mart Xmas LED lights and simply taped them around my wings. I then velcro'd the battery packs under the wings near the fuse. It was heavy, but still flew well on the Hacker A20-30M. It was easy to tell orientation, but I would still rather have had light illuminating the bottom of the wings.

My Slow Stick is based on Chimaera and Delorno's light system here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=438925. It's hard to tell in the video, but all three Slow Sticks in my nightflying group have the same red-white-and-blue color scheme.

Just finished mine last night - 84 LED's plastered all over it!! Should not have too much difficulty seeing this bird - my plan is to strap some fireworks on her for the 4th of July (my Birthday!!) :) :) :) :)

84 LED's plastered all over it!!Holy Friggin' Overkill!! The neighbors are going to be calling 911 over this thing! Sheesh....that's one well lit SS.
I just got from flying my "dinky" lit up SS. Only has 7 LED's on it....perfect for me anyway. Maybe I'll toss 100 or so on my other SS....just for grins! :D
Pretty Cool there JugglerMike.

Light system is modeled after the "Flying in the Spotlight" article from the December 08 Model Aviation. It is still a work in progress, but I think it will be viable.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing with a foamie or combat plane. Looks easy enough to shine the lights AT the plane.
