Hi guys , remember me ? Long time no chat . Got a question for a
friend and myself .
We have Blackfoots that we want to restore , and finding undamaged
hex-cups and hex-shafts is a pain .
Now , I've had TA & TL series cars apart . They use the same knurling
on the cup-shaft , and same diameter .
Couldn't we use cups off one of them , an outer cup off one of the
longer-axled cars ( like a TL01 Castrol Mugen ) and then just snag a
dogbone of the right length ?
I know we widened the TA-02's track-width by pinching A-arms &
dogbones off a Sonic Fighter ( if I remember correctly ) and improved
its cornering stability . RC Car Action published it a while back .
Anyone done this ? Which parts do we need to hijack ? If not , anyone
got a hot-line to RC Car Action to see if they can put the question
out ?
WhiteWolf .
PS : also looking for rear Blackfoot body posts w/ cross-brace , have
some parts I could trade ( like chromed outer Frog-style rim-covers )
PPS : also want used Tamiya 1/16 Tanks , Kyosho electric Blizzards (
preferrably old style ) or German Conrad 'Pistenbully' copy .
