I saw this product once in the "Model Helicopter World"
It looked pretty good and chased it for over a year nationally but couldn't
find it.
As luck would have I walked into a new "Toyworld/Model Shop" locally and
found the product under a different Supplier name.

The Product is called: "Remote Glow Plug Adapter"
It is supplied by: "Eagle Hobby Products" of Taiwan
Product Number: 613700

This unit uses a quality rubber Glow Plug Cap just like a spark plug cap in
your car.
It will take the normal Glow plug Stems and also the large diameter stems
like an Enya 3 plug.
The connector is spring loaded and I have been using one in the little 30
Raptor with no issues at all.
On the other end it has an Aluminum bracket that comes with Sheet metal
screws and also M3 screws including Locknuts.
The cable that connects the plug to the socket is not heatshrink or silicon
but Sock type stuff we use in electronics that is wear through and high heat
resistant.
It uses a modified Glowplug for you to hook onto so your normal Glow plug
connectors/starters slip straight on.

I first bought 2 and after trial bought another 6 (should last me for
years).
I bought them for $14.00 each but you might be able to get them cheaper
somewhere else.

Al :-)

From your description, similar to the one marketed by Kavan, with which I
have had mixed success, one flew off my Raptor in flight never to be seen
again!

OK.
Ill have a bit of an ask about then.
Toyworld down here in Melb would not be so resourcefull Id imagine as
up nth.

Ill go on that.
Thx for the tip, the last 2 I got had RCA plugs on them and fell to
bits so looking for decent ones.

Ive been on the single cell clip_on for a while now, wouldnt go back
to flight box gp drive now, got to the same point about the starter
box too and going to put 12v of Nicads on the starter itself on a
bracket bolted to it (it happens to have mount holes to fit already).
Leave the battery with the box and my SuperNova to top up if need be
itll do 12v charge off 12v fl box or car.

Glow plug drive slips in the pocket and you can grab heli and walk
places to fly it.
Also cleaner to handle with Heli cam and other bits to deal with and
no wires to starter or gp driver to tangle.
I like to get away from places bystanders might appear near to take
off and landing point.
Just anywhere away from the main drag people might appear, if some do
appear I can land where I am no probs if Im out of the way.

At the beach if I can I go out on the rocks like at a point with heli
under arm and starter with its small box but Ill be dumping that for
the hand held shortly, and I cant wait.
I hate lugging shit around, a legacy of past jobs lugging crap around
all day or night with PA's

I want a good remote lead for the gp driver for quick use with the std
glow plug fitting for my driver, and less chance of leaving the wee gp
drive attached and taking off with it, I have not done yet and dont
want to, and on the motor its tucked under the gyro, I cant see it so
it could happen.

My thoughts exactly :-)
The x-cell is already fitted out with a onboard remote glow plug heater.
Once I convert my big starter with Nicads then all I have to do is flick a
switch on the TX and put the starter with Nicads on it...done.
The little Raptor will use the single cell glow plug driver and it's starter
will be converted to nicads as well.
And then I am going to burn that Flightbox.
Al :-)
