The most comprehensive web site I have found with forums for beginners,
forums for maistream heli discussions, forums on specific items (blades,
gyros etc.) and forums for most popular manufacturers, is www.runryder.com

When you log on, you will find menus on the right hand of the screen that
list all the forums on the site. You will find forums discussing anything
and everything related to R/C modle helicopters.

document and click beginners tips again for the next article. If we get
positive feed back at the guest page we will expand the information. If not

I agree Phil, It is a very good site. I do think we need the new guys to
understand some basics so they may speak the lingo. There seems to be a
teriffic amount of good will there at RR. I got there daily as yourself.

Hi.
I am pretty new to the ng but this:

"new guys to understand some basics so they may speak the lingo"

caught my eye. I must admit that when I started learning about model
helis the number of new words, phrases and acronyms was confusing.
For that reason I began documenting the ones that were new or less
familiar to me (for instance I knew what a gyro did but didn't know how
it worked).

To cut a long story short I have begun to compile a dictionary of heli
terms and have posted it on the web. I intend to keep this going and
expand the informaiton on offer. The only down side is the amount of
time it takes to produce good content.

If you like it and want to add to any of the definitions or define new
terms I am more than happy to add them along with any other information
you want to contribute.

I am also more than happy to host / mirror an FAQ for the ng. I will
soon be hosting my own server so there will be no problems with web
space etc etc.
