Hi All
Am in the process of building from kit a Rapter 60 MkII
I must be mad as this is my into to the hobby. I like the engineering
challenge!
To fly it comes latter
Kit has been fairly straight forward and the upgrades from TT have helped.
i.e clutch is now bonded in.
Question
How tight should the ball likes be. I have fitted most am about to install
servos but links seem tight.
Should the pliers be used as suggested by TT support or is there another
way.
Have used a PTFE oil on some with a measure of success.
Also the main gear while free seems notchy, I am told by TT it will free up
after running in at slow speed.
Any other suggestions welcome
Flying comes later

I found that if you over-tighten the balls that they tend to splay out and
make the joints stiff to move. Try loosening them off slightly and see what
happens. As for the the main gear try loosening the engine bolts and the
main shaft bearing housings as suggested in the manual and see if this cures
it......it did on mine and and then re-tighten these up but biased one way
as to ensure free movement.
Hope this helps.
