For all those of you out there with the Realflight G2 simulator and Nvidia
GeForce 4 graphics cards, you might like to read the following. I had
problems due to the video card and this worked for me... hope it helps some
of you out...

Happy flying...

We've just made RealFlight G2 version .592 available on the public beta
server. It fixes the NVidia driver-related problem several users were
experiencing where running RealFlight required rolling back the NVidia
driver version.

We believe this version is stable, but it has not been thoroughly tested
since we wanted to make it available ASAP. If you want to obtain the new
version, perform the following steps:

a.. Start the RealFlight Control Panel from the Start menu

b.. Select Technical Support/Enter Tech Support Code

c.. Enter the following code: B#yq2xq545xf52

d.. Go back to the main Control Panel menu and click Online Updates

e.. Make sure that in the bottom left corner of the Control Panel, it says
"Temporary Public Beta (PS)". If not, try reentering the code.

f.. Either click "Update to Latest Version" (should tell you .592 is
available) or click "Update to Specific Version" and choose .592.

Now you should have .592 (check by selecting Help/About in RealFlight). To
disconnect from the public beta server and reconnect to the main Great
Planes public site, go back to the Control Panel's Technical Support/Enter
Tech Support Code box and enter "UCBK". You should always connect to the
main server except for when trying to download a beta release such as this.

Please report any problems that you find with this latest version! You can
do so at the following site: http://www.gpsoftware.com/bugs.htm

To everyone who experienced this bug, thank you for your patience while we
worked on a fix! We certainly haven't been idle this whole time, but it was
far more difficult than you would expect from reading these boards to find a
user who was experiencing the problem and who was both able and willing to
actively help us debug the problem. Once we accomplished that, the bug was
fixed and the update posted in less than 24 hours.

Now that we know what was causing the problem, we can step up and admit that
it turned out to be a result of something we did. Again, we thank you for
your patience while we resolved it, and we apologize for the inconvenience
this has caused.

Bugger!!. Do I take that as a promise or a threat? I need to know so I can
work out which to break out: the booze in bottles, or just the broken
bottles :-))
