Actually Doug, the answer to the question is of COURSE it can be run in on
the bench. Some people don't WANT to do it this way, but it most certainly
doesn't hurt the engine OR the operator to do it and it has it's advantages.
It's simpler to set up and easier to make mixture adjustments on the bench,
it just means that after it's been done, it needs fitting to the heli
instead of the other way round.

Either way you have to fit it to the heli.
I like to run it on the bench first because i have TOTAL CONTROL over the
motor.

Do Headloaders not give you TOTAL CONTROL?
I think this question of run-in 'on bench' or 'in heli' is purely a matter
of preference...not unless I missing something the happens on the bench you
cannot do with headloaders?
I recommend use a stand/bench or headloaders, don't try to just fly, land,
adjust, fly, land, adjust, etc etc...this could be messy!!

Look at the source, they can't even make motors that will run..........well 1
in 10,000 will. Come to think of it, mabey that's why people have so much
trouble with them. DOUG
