Hi. I am looking for a Houston Hawk kit. I see that the short wing kit is available via Mountain models-laser arts.
But I think M&S has gone south. Thus does anyone know where I can get the short kit that M&S carried (rib set, Fues, Plans...)?
Thanks a bunch
Rick

Look at the last few messages of this thread:

Schrederman is the user id for Jack Womack who designed the Hawk. He is re-drawing the plans so LaserArts can sell them and there are other alternatives for fuselages. Ray Haye's pod and boom is particularly attractive. If you keep your eyes open (and are lucky), you may find a Condor fuselage (which is what tthe Hawk is built on) around. I've bought two in the last few months for other projects, so they are out there.

Hi Ricmck, I've been pulling together parts for my Hawk all the last half of the year. I bought the short kit from Mountain Models, the plans from Mark Miller at Istmus Models and all my balsa from Lonestar Hobby, who is now out of business due to a fire. They may come back, but I don't know. I got my spruce from a very kind gentleman out of Las Vegas and my wing rod and bellcrank from HiLaunch. Ed Whyte of WhyteWings sold me a Peregrine fuze which looks really good. I bought my kevlar tow from Aircraft Spruce, my wing tubes from Tower Hobbies. I got my cf spar caps from ACP. If you decide to go out and get all of this, pm me and let me know. I can help you with some of it, and the wing tubes, I have extra along with kevlar tow. If anyone needs kevlar tow and Littleflyer won't respond to your pm's, let me know. As far as the plans go, Mountain Models will probably have them soon, but PM me anyway.
