Wooohooo... I finally worked up the courage to hover inverted at a reasonable altitude yesterday. I hovered nearly a whole pack upside down and got as low as about 6ft. My friend snapped a pic, which I may stick on here later (work is crazy today).
Sim time is payin' off!!! Now I just need to master tail-in, inverted hovers and I'll be ready for circuits upside down. I can already do them in the sim, but I'm making myself master all the orientations hovering before I try the real thing.
It's weird, I learned right side up circuits before nose in hovering... and am learning upside down circuits before tail in inverted hovering :)
Next on my list are continuous piros, then piro flips... wooohooo!!!!
I wish we had a club here in the ATL like they do in SoCal...
