Hi all,
is there anybody who knows what airfoils the Countryman has?.
It is a 115" high aspect ratio glider. Plan #2217 from "Model World"
I have a plan of this really nice glider but no idea what airfoils are used.
Thanks and regards,
Tom

I have a book called "Airfoils to Go"
Looks like either a Quabeck, or an Eppler airfoil, maybe even a Gottingen.
Can you give me a chord and max thickness measurement, and I could compare it to what 's in the book.

Thank you Ed.
Wing root is ~15.6% thick, middle ~ 15%, wing tip ~13.5%.
But I have no idea how to give you the chord as I am not sure how to measure this ...
Any hints are truly appreciated.
Regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
The airfoil looks very similar to the Wortmann FX, this site has the section from the full size Standard Cirrus:

Hope that helps
