Sad news, Andy Lennon died about a week ago. To any of you who have never heard of him, he wrote the bible on model design.

That is sad - I've been re-reading my copy of his design paperback the last few weeks.
We've lost a real talent, my sympathies to his family.

Indeed, the world has lost yet another shining star.
And, sadly, without replacement.
The standard reference for STOL flight is Andy Lennon's Basics of Model Aircraft Design ISBN 0-911295-40-2.

Happy landings Andy. Sure learned a lot from your book. Bill

His books are the most readable and easiest theory books to understand. Really got me into the theory of what we do.
A great loss to us all.

Truly a loss. Andy was a true asset to the hobby. I have worn out one copy of his book, and my second is dogeared and glue/fuel stained already. He will be missed.
Gentle winds and smooth landings, Andy.

As long as folks want to fly slow and efficient, and think about slots ; he will be remembered. Inspired a lot of people.
