I have a lot of fun, building an Supra, incluiding boom, pod and V-mount.
But now and than a little question rises.
I've just finished my first V-mount according an drawing from the yahoogroup.
It works fine but the V-mount turned out a little heavie, I think(Dont know wath commercial availeble V-mount weights are). Mine weights 6 grams. Twice as much as the v-mount mentioned in the Supra fuselagefile. That gives about 6grams of extra lead in Supra's nose :o

The questions:
1) What is structuraly important for a V-mount? I don't want to save weight at the wrong places.........
2) Is there a "special" Supra V-mount "how to build file" availeble? Or is the Bubble Dancer V-mount suitable?
3) If it is, how do you wrap the ten 1K CF tows in inner pin lugs? Thats important toknow, because a whole trough running pin is an important part of the extra weight.
Of course its all not a very big deal, but.... its in the spirit of the Supra's design to be carefull with weigt.
