I want to get a boat, but i cant afford a Aquacraft, or any high-end boats. So i stoped by the local Radioshack 2day (need parts for my XMODS) and they have a boat from Nikko. Its says it goes 1,000 ft per minute, any battery can work( 3600 stick pack seems right) and i looked at the motor, and it looks like a aftermarket motor will fit. So do you guys i should get this boat and learn from it, or save my money for a higher grade boat???

Save your money! Ask Santa for a boat.

Save your money... and build a Springer!... you will learn a LOT more about boats!.

Radshak boats are 'toys' and are really not worth the money...

If you want a go fast boat then check out proboat I have several of those and they are really well built. And the Traxxas nitro is a very good boat with the return to shore system.

But with the brushless motor boats you are going to spend more time charging than running the boat, A real pain to me! When I can run my scales for two days on a charge!

1000 feet per minute is 11 mph. Not so fast, really. Nikko boats are really not too exciting and are not high quality.

Have a look at this:

For $80 MSRP (maybe less at a hobby shop) you get a real hobby class boat that is quite fast and can be repaired with spare parts (unlike Nikko) and can also be hopped up significantly.
