hitec modification

A long time ago I read about somebody modifying a radio to add an extra channel. I am wondering if this would be possible with my radio. It is a 3 channel Focus FM Zss with a feather receiver.

I have excellent electronics and soldering skills. Robotics is my other hobby.

hi Wilber- Force......per a Samsung mfg data sheet, this 30 pin SDIP version should have at least 6 useable A/D inputs (control chans ?) on pins 8,9,10,11,12, and 13.......of which your unit is factory control stick pot wired to the last 3 input chan pins of 11,12 and 13 (top row counting from right to left of schematic per Mr. RC- Cam) ... Depending on the receiver to be used, duplicating one of the existing control stick circuits to pin 10 looks like a good bet , but i've not any actual mod experience of this particular xmtr myself....i would try it though...good luck, don't let any smoke out ...... kw
