What paint matches Ultra-Cote cub yellow film covering?
I needed exactly that colour for a SeaKing I am building and took a sample of the film to a local automotive paint shop. He kindly mixed up a 1 Lt can.

Here's my experience with trying to match the Ultracote Cub yellow:
I purchased two cans of the supposedly matching paint as well as the primer from LHS for my Cub. After applying and sanding the primer, I then applied the color. To my dissapointment the color of the paint did not match the Ultracote. It was off shade enough to be noticeable. I then called Horizon Hobbies and discussed the probelm with one of their techs. I was assured the paint would match the Ultracote exactly. BullS***. I called them again and they then decided to dend me two more cans of paint. neither one matched the Ultra Cote. Was I doing something wrong? I was using the matching primer so it should have come out with the correct depth of color which it did not.
I then went to a paint store aand attempted to get a match with their computer. Close but no cigar. I had some Testors yellow in a spray can and made a sample color chip. It was closer than the Ultracote paint and a lot cheaper so I used that.
Now an auto paint store should be able to match the color almost perfectly if not perfectly if they have their s*** together.
Since then I have talked with others who have had the same problem and not just with the Hangar 9 but with the Monocote paint as well.
Why can't these idiots get it right?
