It looks to me like it's another T-Rex "clone". What do you guys think?

My opinion is wrong.

If you guys are gonna call all 450 helis a Trex clone you must be outa your mind. Sorry.

I've heard RC-TEC's are great helis and they may be better than a TREX it's all personal preference. The RC-TEC SS and D have overslung flybars FYI.

dont worry about CatchmyCorsair, he is pretty new to helis so I really wouldnt expect him to call it anything more

@Xpress..

If you take a look at it you will notice a top mounted motor and over slung head... IMHO those 2 alone make it different for a rex.

If you look even harder you notice alot more thats differnt...

hope this helps!

ps.. remember align would be clone also if you think like this :)

Yea I really don't want this to be another flame thread. I'll soon be personally getting a SE V2, and I chose that not because it was Align but because of the quality of their products, and the part support of my LHS.

I also considered the Diablo as it's one heck of a great looking heli, but it looks like they are constently making changes as the heli is still pretty new and I didn't want to buy it and have there be a better model in a couple of weeks, as they continualy work out the kinks.

In the end it's all about having fun ;)

I have not owned a Sky Shark or Diablo but the Phantom 450 they sell is a little too cheap. It is a clone of a Trex 450 XL CDE and semed to inherit all those problems and some of its own. It could be upgraded but the upgrades cost more than another already upgraded kit.

yeah the Phantom 450 would have all issue that the 450xl would that's for sure!
I have only seen a built kit w/o radio gear installed.. so I havent even seen it fly!
but for $90 or whatever they are trying to get for it, its a good first heli IMHO :)
well I have my packs charged, there is no wind!!! Im going flying have a good day all!

dude, that is a funny typo!
sky''shrek'' would have been even better!:D
no, wait a minute...sorry, Shrek is an Ogre... :o

Its a super clone of the Trex. You don't see any of the pro's flying it, because it can't come close to keeping up with the others in performance.

Hello All,
I can assure you the RCT-450[325] is not a clone and incorporates numerous differences when compared side by side to a TREX. The quality of the helicopter is also just as good if not better than the Align. In time, the helicopter will be judged based on its own merits and we are confident the politics of the hobby and some unjustified attacks against our company will settle down.

Thank you,
John Williams

Aside from the fact that this was a trolling thread to begin with... this doesn't belong here. Take it to the mini forums...

This is a 3D electric heli forum, no?

Anyways, I've looked it over again, and it does seem to have a lot of differences from the TREX. I'm not sure which heli I should get for my second one, but it will be one of the two, if not both in the furute.
