Hi Guys,

Transmitter Signal recognition.
I ran into this term...what does it mean and how is it implemented?
Says it can reject other signals on the same channel  ...???

The Rx analyses things like the number of channels transmitted and the length of the pulses of the first Tx it sees and then will not accept signals from anything with different characteristics. It's interesting, but it ain't magic.

If a completely different type of Tx starts up on the same channel it will normally be rejected....but if someone fires up another Tx of the same make/model as the one you're flying it won't be able to tell the difference and you've got interference just like in the old days.

BTW an interesting side effect of TSR is that you can't use the Rx with most buddy boxes. Unless the master and student Txs are identical when you switch from one to the other the Rx refuses to accept the second signal ;).

Thanks Steve!
Looks like this is good only if you forget your RX on after a flight...

a few years ago i switched to the FMA FS8 receivers with great results. while i never did check if i could power up another Tx on the same frequency they did eliminate all the glitching i would normally get with standard receivers. was good stuff but todays 2.4GHz stuff is even better...
