View Full Version : Question Wireing Diagram?

Can someone point me in the right direction. I need to wire up two electric motors to a single speed controller. Any pics or diagrams to help me along the way would be helpful.

Hi Manny,

nothing as simple as that. You even donīt need some diagram. if you want both motors to turn in same direction, solder together both + and both - and connect them to your esc. If you want them to turn opposite (if you wanna drive two opposite props) solder together the + pole of one motor and the - pole of the other.
I hope you understand what I mean, I still have some problems writing down in english what I think in german... :o

Here's a photo of the ESC wired to two motors in my PT boat. The motors are wired to be counter rotating. The blue and orange wires from the esc are each connected to a red wire from one motor and the black wire from the other motor.

You can also wire them in Series versus Parallel. Parallel is the most common way to do it as shown above. Direction of rotation is optional as CGB pointed out.
