How about supporting companys here in America and stop giving money to the Chinese. And we are talking about a place where many American companys have made massive recalls on products from China? Now you want to trust an overseas company with a battery with that kind of power and volitity.  But hey, I mean you get what you pay for.

I don't think there are any batteries made in the US. At least the eMoli cells are made in Vancouver, BC.

It's a bit hard to tell but if you look closely, the leads are red and black.

As a general statement not necessarily related to this particular product, I will buy a product if it is a superior product. But I will not spend my earned money on inferior products no matter where they are made. The same argument can be made for buying from a large company or a small independent shop. If either produces a bad product, I'm not buying it.

With respect to the battery mentioned in this thread, I'm sure we will see performance ratings and feedback when more people have had a chance to use them.

Yeah, all we do here in the states is slap a new label on it and sell it. Can't think of many batteries that don't already come from Asia. Let us know if you do.

FWIW - TP, NeuPower, PQ, Tanic, EVO(?) - all use cells made in Korea, not China.
Unless you see all Asian countries as "China", sort of like Mexico and the US are indistinguishable :p

Woah if we supported americans do you even understand how much money we would be loosing? I'm sorry Im not against a strong us economy but the problem is that globalization is where its all at. Things made in the us are not necessarily quality things, but businesses are loosing money here because all of the labor and cheap brain are over seas its just too expansive here, because we americans want too much. Sadly this is not how the world is, and thats why the american dollar is falling and soon the mexican peso is going to be worth more.

Sorry, you are right. It was late and I have edited my post. As someone who lived in asia for 16 years it was a pretty ignorant comment on my part. I bascially meant that they aren't made here.

Yes, but try and buy any of those in Canada. They all get shipped out to the states or off-shore for assembly.

Thunder Power is made in the USA and I believe the EVO are also made in the USA. And alot of people I know fly with Thunder Power.

If you check on TP's website you'll see that they say Thunder power batteries are 'assembled' in the USA, manufacture and assembly are different things.

As far as 'globalisation' is concerned it is the only way to go, the USA still has some of the largest 'Global Companies' around it's just that the only news we get about them is how badly they are doing in their 'home country' - GM for instance have their fastest growing markets in India and Asia while their US market share continues to fall.

I'd like to thank Fuegodeath for apologizing for an incorrect statement in a post, even though it was relatively unimportant to the subject, and correcting his original post.

If more people did that, these threads would be much more useful. You have to kind of assume that the last post wins, but there are better ways.

Rick.
