Hello all. I currently have an E-Flite Blade CPP radio and wanted to use my idle up switch (I'll never use it, normal mode flying only) to switch the CCPM on and off so this radio may be used with air-planes as well. I'm an Avionics tech by trade so re-routing and soldering are not an issue. I was wondering if anyone has tried this with these hard wired radios. Thanks in advance.

Here is the schematic, but it looks as though the the ECCPM is done in the chip, so I may be SOL. :(

I would try adding a switch where SW6 is shown. It seems unlikely to me that the radio is capable of PCM, maybe instead it will disable CCPM.

I was wondering that too, but I believe that is the idle up switch. Mine also has a channel 5 knob (remote gyro adjust)

Chris, if you feel like tinkering:
Pins 9,10, & 11 on that Tx microcontroller are general purpose i/o pins that are connected to ground in your schematic. It is possible that they are configuration pins and if you are feeling bold you could try to disconnecting each of them in turn from ground and connecting to 5v through a 47k ohm resistor. I have no idea if it will work and you may need to try various permutations but if it doesn’t help then you should be able to put it back as it was if you are careful.
