I've got Reflex XTR v 5.03 on a windows PC with on-the-motherboard sound system. Motor sounds are just barely audible even though the PC sound level is perfect for Music etc. When I play any Reflex sound file with Windows MediaPlayer or iTunes the sound level is just fine. Which leads me to conclude there's a problem with the Reflex "sound player".
In order to get the same sound level from reflex I have to crank the PC sounjd output wayyyy up, which also amplifies normally inaudible background system noise.
Is there a hidden setting somewhere anyone knows about that's "suppressing" my Reflex sound? Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, the hidden setting is in the Windows volume control (don't know how it's really named in English because I've only the German version at hand). Start System Control and Sounds. There is one single volume control, but click on the Extended... button. There is again the general volume control on the left side of the window that is opened now, but there are five more. Use the Wave volume control, the REFLEX sounds are wav files.

Thanks for the suggestion but that's not the problem.
I'm installing it onto my laptop to see if that has any different behaviour. Plus I'll check on the latest sound drivers, but I'm pretty sure I have the latest already.

It seems Intel has a new sound driver. Installed it and everything's OK now. I suspect that even if I had reinstalled the old sound driver it would also have cured the problem.
