Does anyone know anything about ASM's DH-88 Comet (88in wingspan)
The ASM sight shows on tiny photograph. I have E-mailed ASM and they do not wish to share anything more about the model. Does anyone know if it has been reviewed in a magazine? Does anyone own one? could you take some photographs of it and E-mail me. Anything you can tell me about the model will be more than I know.
Thaking you inanticipation Ian

Baloon, have attached some pictures of my completed DH-88. My electric
conversion makes use of the following:
2 E-flite 60 Brushless Motors
2 Jeti Spin 44 Speed Controllers
2 Hyperion 5S 3700 Mah Lithium Packs
2 APC-E 14/10 and 14/12 Props
Each motor produces 94 watts per lb., max amp draw is 32 amps, static
thrust is 153 oz., ample cruise time of 12 min. plus.
The plane has some construction problesm, which have been addressed
in previous threads. I have not yet had a chance to fly my plane, but
take heed of a previous flyer: do not make sharp turns with this plane for
it will tip stall. The plane is a racer, not an aerobat! :D :D :D

Beautiful plane LNLP! Please let us know how your maiden flight turns out. We probably had 120 watts per pound from our Hyperions so sharp turns were ok but NOT climbing, sharp turns! Keep the speed on. See our video:
