Paint removing

How do i remove paint on my plane?sand it?will it affect the plane?

I used to use Easy-Off oven cleaner. Had lots of Sodium Hydroxide in it, which is death of many paints. You had to apply several applications, but each time something washed off. Works on plastics, and wood areas.

Sanding may be OK, but this works in the tight areas where paper will not get into.
