Hi there, I own a PA Mini Katana and enjoy this lil' aircraft very much... I have come across the very nice vid about the mini Katana model for Reflex XTR made by the W3 group and was impressed. Apparently Phoenix Rc sim has a mini Katana model too, so in order to compare (I am shooping for a new sim), can some 1 with the Phoenix RC simulator post a video that shows the flying charatteristic of the mini Katana?
Thanks in advance

Here you go. I'm a heli pilot and have never flown a real RC airplane, other than in Phoenix RC. However, I hope this gives you an idea of the flight characteristics of the Mini Katana in Phoenix RC. I enabled autozoom in order to maintain a good view of the airplane throughout the video. Also, for some reason the audio lags behind the video a little. I don't know what happend there...must have been a little hiccup using FRAPS.
My fixed-wing flight skills are less than stellar compared to some of you expert airplane pilots; however, I did manage some loops, rolls and a some inverted flight. The Katana seems to be an exciting airplane to fly. Anyway, I hope this helps.

I got the recording made, just gotta charge up the cam tonight to film it while it's playing back. Must say the plane flies pretty real compared to the real thing, it's a crappy aeroplane to fly in real life too. Heheheh

I'm not having any luck...problems with codecs and and. I can post the .rec file up here if someone else wants to try and record it?
Sorry, I tried.

That really is interesting. I have been testing all the sims out there and to have a great comparrison like that really helps. I do fly a p.a Katana mini and it flys almost exactly the same as the reflex XTR so i think that is the decider.
Question: when going though the plane menu on reflex, i didn't think there were that many. How do i upgrade and get new planes like the Katana Mini and Sebart Sukhoi 50 that I fly for real ?

So far I tend to agree it seems that with regard to PA Mini Katana Reflex has the edge. I wonder if some1 can convert the file posted above by Spacey so we have one more element of evaluation.

Don't you have to pay extra for that model shown above for Reflex?

Yes, 4,99 USD but they seem they are done very accurately.
