Been a while since I've posted a new video. So here ya go.
Crummy YouTube version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ6IBzPK9qQ
Download versions from my site:
480x360 1MBit (42MB) (www.twinturbostang.com/rc/Is_This_Real_480x360.wmv)
640x480 3MBit (125MB) (www.twinturbostang.com/rc/Is_This_Real.wmv)
If you download from my site, please SAVE AS. Don't kill my bandwidth! :)
BTW, I've started using that Vimeo site also, but as somebody mentioned, the motion is degraded a bit in some videos. In this case, the transition effects are totally screwed up (the music doesn't match with the scene transitions). I offer the link only for those that have an account and can download the 42MB version (which is the same as on my site above) from there, saving my own bandwith. ;)

Enjoy!

Looks good, I only watched the first 45 seconds or so. (on dial-up, getting two seconds at a time)
The problem with both u-tube and vimeo is bandwidth. One gives you smoother action at the cost of resolution and the other gives you good res at a way lower frame rate. You pays yer money and takes yer cherse, neder of which is good.
When the entire country is on fiber we will be able to post HD at full res. The fed agency in charge just demolished cable zoning which means I can now get my broadband from an outfit that I like. I just have to wait for them to wake up and get rolling. The guys who were zoned for here have a bad rep.
I usually look at or download stuff at my flying buddy's house (Optimum on line) but not this weekend.
Nice to see you back on the forum.

Thanks Pete. Yeah, I was off of the forum for a little while. Back in full force though. :)

I don't even know. lol It was from an hour long set I have called "99Avenue". It has a bunch of tracks in it. It was the first track. Sorry, I don't know who it is. Maybe somebody here knows though.

Very cool. Nice smooth headtracking moments. I've watched alot of FPV videos and noticed that some do very little panning during the flight, maybe it takes awhile to get used to (?). Yours was nice to watch as you clearly moved around during most of the flying. I downloaded the 125 meg video, it was worth the wait :)
good job!

Thanks Dave! :) A couple of times during the flight I kicked in the co-pilot, which really lets you look around and not worry about the planes attitude.

Jup, very nice video!
Which co-pilot do you use?

Nice vid. For whatever it's worth, I don't see any problems with
the Vimeo version at all. Vimeo does require a newer version of Flash
and might use a bit more CPU, so perhaps you're running into issues there.
The main reason people use Vimeo is because other Vimeo members
can download the original file, so you don't have to worry about
hosting that bandwidth yourself.

The very nice movie, but why tell me you fly so low ?
I wants to fly over the clouds :-)

Nice video TTS, the first video I watch of a FPV TS with the camera placed advanced respect of the props! I was even thinking the TS has a problem with the CG and the camera only could be placed that back! :D I love the view, closer to the nose the view would be even better, if it´s possible, but it´s great like it is
The TS is the first (or second :D) in my shopping list, I just need a new control box for the goggles!!
Do you have a mix between the rudder and the motors?
Do you know the current of the motors?

Still love the video! But does this mean I have to make another plane  ;) :D

Wow, you guys are really bringing this thread back from the dead! :)
Daemon: If you look at the youtube version, or the download version, you'll see the timing of the music with the scene transitions is spot on, whereas the vimeo version lags severely with the beat of the music. I took a lot of time to get the transitions just right with the music, yet then Vimeo screwed it up. :( It works good for my other videos though. Vimeo has better video resolution, but their motion and timing is not as good as youtube.
Killerus: I'm working on it. :) That's one of my goals, is to fly above a cloud. ;)
Andres: If you move the elev and rud servos to the tail, you have a very long channel that you can slide the batteries in. This allows you to move the CG around quite a bit. I've now got my video transmitter located out on the vertical stabilizer (to reduce interference), yet I was still able to get the CG right (although just barely at this point) by shoving the batteries all the ways forward.
Rudder/motor mix? I'm not following you on that one. It draws about 43Amps total at full throttle. That's 21.5A per motor. I'm running the 400F's from justgofly.com with APC 6x4 props, and two 2100 3 cell Thunder Power Prolites in parallel (4200mAh total). Oh, it does 65mph also, according to my recently installed DragonOSD. :D
rvski: Another plane??? What's wrong with the one you just built?!?!

That's what inspired me from the beginning to build what got now. Everytime I see it I get all reinspired, hence just got to get another plane! :D

The rudder to throttle mix needs the esc´s to be connected to different channels. Then you need a mix to link both motors, and then another two mixes for the differential thrust. For example, right rudder input should increase the left motor rpm and decrease the right motor rpm.
That gives plenty of rudder authority, should make flat turns easy, and helps a lot while moving the plane on ground (if you have landing gear). Maneouverability in the air should be awesome doing tight turns :)
I read it here in RCG, but now I can´t find the thread. There was a video too...

rvski: Watching it again makes me want to go back to that field. Not sure if I can fly right off the field this time of year though. I believe they grow wheat there, so at this point, I may not even be able to stand where I was last November.
Ya know, I just remembered something.. I almost crashed into the ground a couple of times during that flight due to the low flying! I didn't realize how low I actually was on a few passes until almost too late. I think I cut all that stuff out of the final video because you could see the nose bobbing up and down as I frantically pulled the elevator to gain altitude! lol.

Oh right, differential thrust. Can't do it... I'm out of channels! :) However, it does do rudder turns just fine.

Maybe you needed to chase a MIG to take your mind off from concentrating too much on the flying. :D :p

Nope. That video was a different field also. Assuming you're talking about my "air combat" video.
