I have a CZ-A nib that I took out today and inspected.

Does anyone know much about this engine? I do not recognize this naming convention.

It looks to be about a .10 sized engine and does not have a needle valve but rather an adjustable ring.

Thanks,
Brian

The engine you describe sounds like an r/c car engine? Got a pic? If it is, it's probably either a .12 or a .15

Does it have a really large heat-sink on the top? If it does, it's a car engine. I looked at the O.S. engine history timeline, in 1992 they introduced an engine called the CZ-12ZX and 1993 the CZ-12Z. Farther back, 1991 saw the CZ-11 PS for airplanes, and CZ-MX for boats. Looking back all the way, the CZ-A is probably from around the late 80's or early 90's. I don't see the CZ-A listed on their incomplete history section of their website.

It is a 12 size engine and I have one in a small Herr Pitts. The carb was an attempt for a fixed jet carb that didn't work worth a sh##. I put a carb on it from a Fugi 15 and that made it into a little powerhouse. :D

Sorry for the delay... I have doing some house painting (inside).

Here are a few pics to show the carburator mentioned in the previous post.

That's right... I remember O.S. making a .12 for a short time, primarily for R/C cars. I believe mine came with a Great Planes Electricub "glow" version kit that included this motor.

I was looking at the carburetor today with the adjustable disc - looks to be more of a pain than supposedly being easier for needle adjustment.

I wonder if I bought a normal O.S. .10 size carb would it fit / work?

Thanks for all your help,
Brian
