Hello!

Please, I need some help with a painting problem. Last week I finished building the fuselage of my sailplane so in the weekend I started painting it. I bought some acrylic paint (black), acrylic thinner, primer, and a sealing lacquer (the kind used to seal the woods pores).

I applied the lacquer and then sanded with a light grain (water) sandpaper, two times. Then applied the primer with my airbrush and sanded lightly, two times also. No problem to this point. The I started with the black paint and here my problems started. :(

As I was airbrushing the black paint, it seemed like it was not sticking to the surface (only a little paint actually sticked) and a web-like something (I don't know how to exactly describe it) began forming in the surface and around the edges of the fuselage near the point where I was applying the paint. After a few tries I tested in a piece of paper and also in a piece of metal with the same results. I think this web was forming with the paint that didn't stick in the surface but don't know why it happened.

I also tried with different percentages of paint and thinner in the mix, all the way from two parts thinner one part paint to two parts paint one thinner. Same results.

Don't know what to do. I've painted several other planes with this kind of paint (though different colors and also bought on other stores) and this never happened. The paint is not acrylic enamel, I don't know the exact name in english, in my country we just call it "acrylic paint".

I'll appreciate your help.
