So iz gotz 1 of those 2m comp high starts from aerofoam.
I got a very small nick in the rubber right at the base and worry tath it will widen and tear with repeated stretching.
how to repair?
I was thinkin of using that black CA adhesive.
i wonder about goop - is it prone to react with the rubber?
how about pure silicon? i am using fish tank silicone for hinges, wonder if it would work here?
any other suggestions?

A bit more info is in order. If the nick is near one end or the other, just cut a bit of it out and reattach. The problem is the mode that hi start rubber is used, namely to stretch it to 2-3 times its relaxed length.

A successful repair would require a perfect bond between patch and tube, which really isn't possible. Anything you try to do to repair it will eventually fail under the high stress of the extreme stretch that the rubber undergoes.

Cut out the bad part and move on.

Have you contacted Aerofoam and asked them?
