quick question for the brains out there,
I am testing a gearbox i have built and was wondering wot the max amps were that i could pull for these two motors without turning them into scrap iron.
i am already pulling 18-19 amps hot off the charger on the speed 600,

speed 600 8.4v bb race motor
kyosho magnetic mayhem 22t truck motor

cheers for any help.

About 25 amps is the maximum I would recommend for the MM.

similar I think. I am pretty sure they are good for 30A in short bursts. But 20-25 is better for reliability.

I'll go along with the previous, but as with most things in this hobby, it boils down to how long you want it to last. If they lasted as long as an Astro doing the same job, Bob would be out of business. I've regularly used the can "600" at 30A but know full well that I'll be soldering another one in after about 30 flights. Others will use 20A and run them for a long, long time. Does this help? Tex.
