I was hoping to get a shot like that... but they left the marina in a very conservative manner...

I heard that one of the times these guys ran the boat up to speed, the
Sheriff patrol boat saw them coming, and as they went by gave chase.
Apparently the PT was going way to fast for the channel, but try as
they might, the Sheriff could not catch up to the 658.

They ended up having to radio ahead and have another boat intercept them.

:p :D :D

Man those links are great. I've looked for PT pictures before and didn't find any of these. Wonder where they ever found the guns for PT 658? That must have taken some digging. Great links guys. Thanks very much. Pete

No it isn't, Pete. It is for a new book from Amazon and the shipping is free. There are also used versions for sale but the link is for a brand new book. :)

Pete.
I hope you don't mind if I ask a couple of questions here, as most of the experts are already on this thread. Hi guys. I'm sure you'll be interested in the answers too. I also can't find the pics I need. Maybe you can help too.
1) Does anyone know of a view of the helm & controls on a 78' Higgins.
2) Did the Higgins ever have the 6 mufflers on the stern. I made some & put them on mine. Now after seeing the pic posted by Pat of one up on the plane, I think they may be wrong.
Best regards.
Paul.

Why do people think that it is OK to scan a copyrighted book on here because the guy who wants the info is too cheap to buy the book himself, if you cannot afford the book, how are you going to afford to build the model??

Mr Upshaw.
Methinks you missed the jest in the "tone of the type".
And it's easy to build on a limited budget when you scratch build everything.
Regards,
Paul.

The point of my post here is that....
People here are asking other people to make scans from copyrighted material and send it to them for free, thus violating the copyright held by the publisher.
If this kind of activity goes unchecked, the amount of material being published for our benefit is going to start drying up. These books are published for a profit, not for the thrill of the author seeing his name in print.

I apologize if I have offended any one here, he knows who he is.

NO offense taken and I know who I am. You are right about copy right laws and I was only joking with Kmot about the pictures. Perhaps your sense of humor has been run over by your sense of propriety or else your an author.
In any case If it's online I'll copy it if I want it and if I'm wrong then somebody can do something about it. Meantime I didn't say I couldn't afford the book. I can afford anything I want but why spend money if you don't have to? I havn't seen anybody on here that doesn't shop around for the best price on anything.
Sorry if I ruffled your feathers. Pete

Hi Pete:

You did not ruffle my featheres. Actually my post was not really directed at any one person, and the one I was refering to was the person who lodged a complaint againt me with the admin.

Morning W.L.;
Looks like I misunderstood you. Sorry for that. I didn't lodge the complaint and didn't know one was made. Seems like someones always picking on someone anymore. Have a good day.
