You ready for this? I have this thingy made by 'RubberMaid', no idea what that sort of 'plastic' is, and I need to fix a crack/rip in it. First, tried CA, and you can forget that, knew it was too easy. Now, trying to fiberglass the thing (just around/along the crack). The way my luck runs, that won't work either. So, what can I try next... that has a halfway chance of working? Oh, MEK doesn't work either.

You may have to weld it back together. I don't know exactly what kind of plastic it is but it some kind of polypropylene. Harbor Freight sells a plastic welder that you plug in and connect it to an air source. It basically blows hot air allowing you to soften/melt the plastic.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

"Amazing Goop".
Very tacky, strong, and flexible.
Any hardware store will have it.
