Hello all,
I am building the Dumas 1/20 scale PT Boat and have got to the hull part  , my question is this Dumas says that you should use polyester resin to bond anything to the hull is that true? Why not epoxy? Seems to me after reading all the threads I found epoxy is the better of the two. Is it because the kit is so old? I do plan on fixing the bow problem and want to make it strong. Thanks for your help

Their hull is made with polyester, and epoxy just doesn't stick well. You may think it's sticking, until one day... "Crack!"
Been there, cracked that.

The new West System G/flex epoxy MIGHT work. But safest to clean the hull, sand, clean again, then use polyester resin and/or polyester filler (Bondo).
