I'm pretty upset right now, I just build a battery pack and used the standard wireing using a servo connector and it looks like this stupid thing is wired with the red on the outside instead of the inside... Needless to say I fried something plugging it in wrong...

It powers up and appears to work but the Rx isn't getting anything from it.
I took out the crystal and it smelled like burnt electronics... What are the chances I will be able to save this thing?

IIRC - the Airtronics radios are polarity changed (just like their OLD servos) for the TX pack but not 100% sure.

So if you plugged it in reverse and it does not have a fuse you are sending it in for service for sure.....

I have seen this done before, there is damage but not serious and repairable.
In case you don't already know, Airtronics has been taken over by Global Distributing (Hobby People), in a Great Planes/Futaba and Horizon/JR type of arrangement. The old Airtronics facility is no more, you will have to send it to HP.
The good news is that while not all Airtronics personnel made the move, the chief technician, with his many years of experience is now at HP. Your RD6000 will be well taken care of. Don't hide it, tell him what you did. Luck, Eloy

I don't know if you will get a quote before they see what is wrong with it....but I guess worth a try.

Well they should be able to give me a ballpark, they should know what usually fails when this happens, I can't imagine im the only person that plugged a standard battery into their backwards connector.
