Speed

Hi everyone, I've built a few wooden and fibreglass rc boats (nitro) and
am looking to try my hand at something different.
I'd like to go for speed in a straight line. Can anyone reccomend any
websites, books or magazines that deal with flat out speed?
Or does anyone have any info or experience? I'd like to aim for a class
rather than just build something. I guess the class will limit engine
and boat size, but I'm not sure.
I am undecided on whether it will be 2 stroke or a glow engine, but it
will be petrol of some form.

Any info would be appriciated.
