Would it help if the AMA reported accidents like the FAA does. Leaving out the names of course. Dennis

Yes, I believe we should have an accident/incident reporting process. We have somewhat toyed with this issue in the past and we currently do have an incident report form. Nevertheless, I believe we need to totally revamp our safety program, starting with the safety code, the safety committee and the means and methods by which we interact with our contest directors and chartered clubs. This is a hot button issue for me and an area I will focus on very quickly.

As a CD and a pilot (at one time) I feel that every accident that has a insurance pay out should be reported to the membership as to cause and fix. The amount of money is not important. The cause and solution of the accident needs to be reported in the MA so others are can take action on their part. Thank you for taking a interest in this matter.
