Thanks to the delightful customer service at buy.com instead of getting credit for this when I returned it they just sent me a new one.
I did a lot of research and was stoked to get this PSU but the first one was a dud and I didn't have time to wait for a replacement so I paid more and bought one locally and now I have a spare. This thing is still factory sealed, I'm looking to get 85 shipped, I prefer paypal.
there's a couple of reviews for this thing, all positive:
http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/Ultra_X3_600W/index.shtml
http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/ultra_x3_600watt_power_supply/
http://www.cluboverclocker.com/reviews/power/Ultra/X3_600/page2.asp
That's the first three non-seller reviews I found on google but there's probably more.
If you're serious about buying this and want to be sure it works I'll happily open it up and plug it into my rig(Core2 Duo e6600, 8800gts, EVGA 680i, 2 gigs ram, DangerDen water loop.).
