I have a bunch of old control line motors laying around- does anyone know if they can be converted to RC by adding a carb? The two I'm thinking about are a MRC/ENYA 15-III and a Stallion 35.

sounds reasonable. might be difficult to find a carb with the right barrel size though.............gregg

I did this to a Enya .19 CL motor, Altech should have the carbs for these and they should be a drop in replacement for the old C/L venturi.
The Stallion may be more difficult, I did an old Fox .36 stunt engine with a large Fuji carb, and it runs fine, not a powerhouse, but it still does the 2/4 break on loops and climbing manuevers in my old Falcon 56. These old baffle piston, loop scavenged motors need extra castor oil in the fuel. I'd add 4 oz. per gallon of new fuel. Your plane will land slimier, but your engines will last nearly forever, especially if you let the engine run just a smidge rich.

that's good news, the 0.15 is the one I really want to use. I'll check with Altech, thanks for the lead.
