Ahh i know. Someone taught me them on phoenix :) . Climb up, flick thro hold, keep pos pitch to stop the blades, heli drops like a stone until you give neg to spin up the blades again then give pos for a gentle landing :cool: . They look like you want to kill your heli. :D

i did it with my mars once....seriously, scared teh hell out of me! i meant to though, only thing was i wasnt scared to lose anything.

I blade stopped my Cx but thats it.

And it was because I hit a tree. :p

ah i love doing it with those joel! blasting up real fast, then cutting the throttle, and see if you can get the blades to stop before you hit the ground, and power out.

I haven't seen this done, but I've heard of people having their main blades fold attempting it. There's no way to recover afterward.

The key to a blade stop auto is having REAL tight blades, but not enough to hurt your grips, and to do it right you dont let your blades stop completely.

After seeing it the other day, I tried it with the Light Machines yesterday. The blades did fold but when I put power back on it did recover. Started at about 200 ft. Dropped like a rock and throttle up at about 60 ft. lifted back up at about 20 ft. A real cheek tightener :D Don't know if I want to try it again but like a dummy I probably will in front of a group, And make a crater. :p
