I just installed PHX and have not been able to get my TX to work right, so I suspect there are a few things eluding me. Any chance someone can tell me exactly the steps on the TX and PHX (calibration etc)?
Calibration's not right and looks like when I move a stick, several bars move, not just the one in question, so its constant flip/crash. Would really appreciate some help. I'd like to set up 7CHP for trex, normal, and idle up :)

1st thing is to turn off any channel mixing on the 7CHP as it is better to do the mixing in the software.
I have the T7UHP and have set up 3 radio configurations for phoenix. for planes, non 3D helis and 3D helis.
For setting the channels I just wiggled the sticks to see what bars changed then assigned the correct function to that channel.
For 3D helis I only mix throttle / pitch to give the correct amount of throttle for the selected pitch.
See http://www.littlerotors.com/setup/tutorial/radiosetup.aspx
This is a great source for getting you started on mixing.
Hope this helps

Sounds like you have CCPM/swashplate mixing enabled on your transmitter - best to create a new blank model memory for the sim and make sure CCPM/swashplate mixing is disabled before calibrating.

I'm using a 7CAP on the Reflex software and i used to have the same issue. i found out i was using a HR3 swashplate which was mixing functions. so i just changed it to a H-1 swashplate and it works great now.

Thanks guys, I think things are calibrated well enough for now, so thanks.
General questions tho as I am now trying to refine:
1) Can you set up and use idle 1, 2 switches, OR is it a "workaround" essentailly where you really cant use the idle switch like in real life and you simply have alternate set ups? Or can I really mimic my 7chp in everyway like real life...follow??
2) Throttle Hold - can / how to set up for autos?
3) I fly a rexV2 (no flybar weights, about 2900 hdspeed) so it is really super responsive (I like). THe sim seems slow, slower piro, etc. How do you speed up overall responsiveness to better mirror real life. Tried some other helis like the rex600, but too slow too. Can I tweak these things indivually, or in maybe in aggregate?
4) When going into FFflight, I tilt give forward collective, and the head really tilts (more so than real life). Like it tilts, and does not really get a head of steam going. In real life, I nudge the cyclic forward a bit and rexy is like a racehorse out of the gate (which I like!!). So maybe this is related to previous question, but you get my drift insofar as I am trying to better model my V2 so I can focus on 3d without digging real life holes in the ground.
THanks -- please help if you can my friends!

you can use idle ups as normal in the tx, disable the software idle up in phoenix the throttle from the tx will do the rest, just set a throttle curve as you would in idle up and the governor will kick in. the only thing you cant do is change the headspeed from the tx.
same for throttle hold. enable it in the tx and unmap the throttle hold function in phoenix.
make sure you have throttle mapped to channel 3 and pitch to channel 6
all the model settings are adjustable in the edit model screens its all pretty self explanitary.
