I'm about to make up one of these for my QQ Yak which is running a Neu Motor 1515-2Y-6-7-F, a Pentium 100HV S/C, and a 10cell 4100 LiPo.
My question is; What size resistor should I use?
Cheers

Hope this might help you. Depends of the capacitor and voltage of the pack.
Good luck, Erik

I'd try something like 100 ohms for a 10s setup, you can always change it if its a bit high.

The Jeti SPIN200 is for 4-15s Lipo, it has an inbuilt 100ohms resistor.

Use a completly hooded or covered set of plugs like the Tamaya's. Or simply mount the resistor across a single pole switch that is permanantly in the harness. No extra plugs are needed.

Running 8 big digitals on an aircraft must be too much for an Rx to handle, we will need to draw power from elsewhere and just use the Rx as a signal provider rather than that and also a power provider. I'm wondering if we could just have the signal wire going into the Rx and have the two power leads (pos and neg) going to an alternate source, eg a couple of UBECs? I don't want to have to get a power expander etc
What do you guys think of the Kontronik Power Jazz 120 for a speed controll.
BTW this is for another project ;) :D

Hi Han!
Here are some pics how I bypassed the gold plugs with a resistor.
Kind regards, Erik

I use 7 digitals, 6 at 192 oz/in and one at 270 oz/in,.. with power coming from dual ubecs to the reciever. Reciever supplies servos. No problems.
Do be sure to get a dual ubec setup with the diodes added.
