I love my E-Maxx so much that I now have 2. I'm actually looking for a new/slightly used EVX/Titan setup so I can race the second one at the local track......both are brushless right now, so I have a brushless motor to trade. The Maxx trucks are a lot of fun.

I have a Emaxx with 7 cell matched 2400s. This truck MOVES! I basically just cruise the yard and like crawling up stuff. One day ran it down the street and I guessing 30 mph. Bought it off Ebay in mint condition with over $400 in Mods for what the stock cost. Worth checking out.

I just got a used E-Maxx from Ebay. It came with Novak 14.4 ESC and 4 pack of 6 cell. My question is that: do I need to connect the 2 packs in series in order to get 14.4 V ? I ask because there are 2 battery connectors from the ESC, and I thought if you just connect each pack to each connector the ESC will automatically connect the 2 packs internally for 14.4 operation.
Thanks

You are correct, the EVX will internally connect the packs in series.

Will EVX handle the two 7 cell packs?
Since there are many 7 cell for sale on Ebay for E-Maxx with very good prices and I want to make sure that the EVX won't be fried.
Thanks

Traxxas gives it the OK. Many people have trouble even on 6 cells packs.

Probably going to piss off the "Maxx" guys but I would look at the HPI savage. Comes stock with what you need to do some serious bashing, like a .21 motor, wider stance and more durable. I'm pretty tight with the local hobby shop owner and he says you need to drop about $400-500 in mods to a Maxx to make it equal to the HPI. Buggy's are a blast, I have 2 2WD and 2 4WD but they do not have the Clearance for bashing around the yard, Blast to race though.

yeah i just got a new 2.5 t-maxx and it flys..the savage goes 37mph while the t-maxx goes about 42 stock..the savage is a 1/8th scale while the t-maxx is a 1/10th scale but u cant relly tell any diffrence.anyway is the savage tuff..talking bout the a-arms...the savage looks tight tho..i like nitro and electric..electric u dont have to tune but i dont go nearly as fast...but u need to charge electric which that gits kindof tirring..but nitro u need to pay bout 26.oo dallas for monster fuel[[[IN 2 WEEKS IF U DONT DRIVE MUCH]]]
