The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is teaming with the city of San Pedro, California to renovate the White Point Nature Preserve formerly the White Point Nike Missile Base. Since the renovation efforts are geared to nature conservation and not history conservation, many of the remaining military hard points will be removed or altered.
Since my Catalina Island project is finally mission ready, I have decided to document this area for the Land Conservancy and for historical purposes here. I’ll add static maps and land photos of the area soon to show the changes over time and document the Nike Missile parts.
