We have these shops in New Zealand called '$2 Stores' and as the name implies most of the goods cost $2. You'd be hard pressed to find anything not made in China and the range includes everything from toys, kitchenware, stationary, small clothing items, hand tools, etc... And sometimes you find the odd gem.

It's a small LED light on a movable snake-like arm with a clip at one end, the pictures on the packet show it being used as a book light, illumination inside the car and on top of a picture frame. However I found a another use, lighting those dark corners of your model when you're doing the fidgety work there. The unit is powered by four tiny button cells, but you get two sets (8) with the unit, inside of the clip has soft silicon on the claws so it won't dig into paintwork and the LED is REALLY bright.

Stu, I found a similar item in a local gas station. Its smaller than yours, has an anodized case the size of a AA battery. Its run by 3 button sized batteries and it has a magnet at the oposite end to the light. It is good for looking into dark hulls and hard to reach areas. I turned the light at a 45 and shined a light down my stuffing tube and held a mirror at the other end. That way I could inspect for rust, debris, lack of lube, etc.Unfortunetly, mine set me back more than $2.
