I have two planes that I am working on that I want too put scallops on the LE of the wing and tail. Both planes will be covered in either Solite or Solarfilm. Any tips that you guys would like to share? I hate covering to begine with and this looks like tourture.
Cheers,
Jim

DT,
Yea....I think you are right. I am working on both a Pitts M-12as well as a Monocoupe and I think they both really need scallops to look prototypical  .
Come on guys....help a brother out....any tips.
Cheers,
Jim

Look up a thread on the aerolock pitts m12. A guy did a scallop pattern and showed how he did it. I would cover the base cover up to the spar (or whereever the scallops would end) and overlay the scallops onto the base covering. Of course, solarfilm all the way.

Thanks Guys,
Kind of what I was thinking but I love the idea of doing the two sides together...since I am Lazy
Cad,
Since one of the planes I plan of putting scallops on is Mike's old M12 I am familiar with the thread but it has been awhile since I read it, I will take a look.
Cheers,
Jim
