I had some damage to my boat yesterday.(blackjack 26) Dam shore. Anyhow, when I make the repair (fiberglass and cloth) it should be on the inside of the hull ,correct? The damage does not go completely though, and I need to fill the cracks on the outside. What do I use for that?
thanks, venom

go to your local autostore (halfords is such a place in the uk) and get some body filler for use on fibreglass sports cars, repair the crack from the inside, that way the fg wont be seen externally. then use the body filler to treat the external damage. fill, allow to cure, sand down to suit, respray as desired. should take about a week to do

thats what I'd do

the reason i'd do the inside is because the damage may have weakenned the hull when you cracked the outer shell

Thanks, How about sand paper grit to prep and finish? Good paints at autoparts stores? I have a spray gun and compresser at home, but I think if I could use something from a can I could do it at work. ( long lunches :D )

something of a mid grade to start with to get the bulk done then turn to a fine grit.

as for paints, acrylic is best :)
