Here is the idea, put in the heading a 3D maneuver. And then explain the stick movements in the body. Thus starting a list of moves :D

I have searched for a book or something but with no avail! It should help some people starting 3D.

Here is the skill level chart so we dont get confused! Color helps alot in your post too!

Beginner : Just coming past hovering, moves like left or right hand turns or different hovering orientations. Figure eights etc.

Intermediate : First timer 3D moves, brief inverted hovering or flips etc.

Advanced : Getting a little more complicated than Intermediate, things like rainbows or tic-tocs could fit into this category.

Expert : Big Ben with a Tic-Toc Clock on top anybody? Ideas like that!

Here is an example :

Basic Flip :

Helicopter requirements : CP helicopter.

Radio settings : Either Idle up or Normal mode, Idle up reccomended.

Skill level : Intermediate.

Getting the helicopter into a high hover, quickly increase cyclic forward or backward until the helicopter is inverted and give it a bump of negative pitch along with more cyclic to bring it back to upward flight.

You will need to experiment with just how much cyclic/pitch to make it smooth as it varies from helicopter to helicopter.

A video along with it is a bonus! Hopefully if it goes as planned, we can sticky it :)

This is a great idea......Just a thought but if you have a flight sim set it to show sticks and record the trick that way you could see the move and sticks in relation

Apply forward cyclic, and collective to pull into a foward flight. with the left side faceing you make a left turn and panic when nose in. Proceed to fly into the ground. Sob. collect parts and go home :D

Thats the only move I know at the moment

Hmm, have you been watching me practice? I do that more often than I care to count.

Yeah, that's why I do my figure 8 flying with all of my turns going away from me :D

I find in a figure 8, I have no problem doing my left turns but, my right turns are terrible.

Same here... Wonder if it's some sort of defect in our helis :p TRex 450 by chance?

I wonder also. :p I have no problems with right or left turns on my planks, and I use a bit of rudder with them also.

Helicopter Requirements : A CP or FP helicopter, CP reccomended.

Radio Settings : Either Idle Up or Normal, Idle up is reccomended however.

Skill Level : Intermediate.

How to Perform : With a fair amount of speed from forward flight, ease back on the cyclic stick and start coming around the top. When you get about vertical slowly ease back on the positive pitch, but do not put it into negative if you can help it (This turns it into a flip). Keep holding back that cyclic stick until she starts coming around and begin to add pitch and adjust your cyclic to come out as close as you can to the same altitude you entered with.

See if you can do it like this, I'll put up a few more notes in my first post :)

I would say that it has something to do with this:

Plus - 'bad' turns tend to bring heli closer to me while 'good' ones is pushing it back. So, on my Mini T I can easily turn to left into 'nose in' and get out of it but turning right again. Going from nose in to more left is scary!

Wow, that makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Thanks for sharing :)

Heli Required: A larger CP heli that can auto well

Radio Settings: Idle-up, throttle hold, normal

Skill Level: Advanced

Summary: A death spiral transitioning to an inverted pirouetting autorotation such that the pirouette is in the same direction as the death spiral. After 2-4 pirouettes, stop the pirouettes and perform an inverted autorotation with a push-out recovery.

(I just want something named after myself lmao)

It's not clear how to move sticks while executing the maneuver. Radd describes it like clock position: "Wow! look at the future!! a 3D backflip in idle up ....”(12 and 6)”..then “(6 and 12)” then “( 0 and 0 ) “"
It's ok and clear. But when is "then"? At which part of the maneuver?
Ok, everything we can do in SIM. But it helps to move faster.
