It seems all issues here are shipping and what not, but I want advice on a motor from UH! Based on Mijenko's (he does reviews at the UH forums) reviews, I bought the KD A22-15M and KD A22-20L motors earlier this year. For the price they are AWESOME. They pull like a bull and I've been really happy. What would be a step up from the A22-20L? I see a ton of other motors there, but many don't seem to have reviews or even basic ideas on thrust vs. amps. It also confuses me in that some of the same brand of motor seem to be more expensive, heavier, and yet generate less power (presumably I don't know how to read the numbers so well).
I'm looking for just an all-purpose motor to haul things around at low speed, like an AP platform. Thanks!

Don't you just hate all the model number mumbo jumbo?
What we need is weight, thrust , amps and prop size. Everybody is pretty good about listing size and shaft diameter but there is more we need to make a good match. This needs to become a standard. How about it Anthony?

How about it Anthony?Yeah, I am new but understand with gassers it was quite straight forward. A .40 was heavier, more powerful than a .30, no need to play with kv and all this mess! I don't mind all the weird numbers, but if Mijenko at UH was able to review a LOT more motors, it would be really helpful!

Dozen of new motors for testing arrived couple of days ago and 3 have being just tested during the weekend. I'm preparing a blog report on those three while another motor is already attached to the test stand. Hopefully tomorrow you'll be able to read it on blog HC pages.

I think it would be cool to have a standard in ratings for these electric motors. However, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.
What would be awesome is if UH/HC would publish an equivalence chart. For instance, what in UH's inventory would be equivalent to AXI's 2212/26 motor.

Minjenko, thanks! This is very helpful.

A guy on eBay has these motors for sale and provides good data for them.

Yes, he's got slightly more data than UH on the prop sizes, but for about the same price as the E-Bay motor, you can get the same motor PLUS an ESC from UH. BTW, I LOVE my 2409-18 motors. Good, strong pull for my 3D foamies with a 10 x 3.8 or 11 x 3.8 prop.

I like that guy's store and hear great things about him, but my limited RC budget just cannot be matched for its effiacy at UH. I mean heck they have a 2250 3S 20C battery for like $30. That is just insane.

I was not suggesting buying from him, just that he had the data. :) I bought mine from UH...
