the UK distributor sells the FMA copilot for £81/ $162, in the US it is $69 and they refuse to send to the UK. nice. so how do UK users acquire their FMA copilots?

Find a friend who will re-ship it for you, this is a common practice in this hobby. I do for English friends from time to time.

The problem is, the 72 MHz version from the USA is useless in the EU. We need here the 35 MHz version and that special version is only available from the distributor in UK. Had the same problem last year already.

Even the stand alone version?

erwin, excuse my lack of experience, but i thought the copilot did not have any RX capability. on the FMA site it reads:

Specifications: Inputs aileron, elevator, and aux for Remote switched or fully proportional Enable from the receiver; outputs pitch (elevator) and roll (aileron or rudder) via normal servo cables

so i would have thought that a Rx was still necessary and that the aileron and elevator leads went into the copilot and two leads came out of the copilot with modified signals. so i was under the impression that it does not matter which frequency that you are working on because the signal protocol for the servos remain the same (no change between the US and EU, only the various manufacturers.)

Sorry guys,

was too less accurate :o , regarding the mentioned price I meant the FS-8 Co-Pilot of course :) . The CPD4 stand alone version you can get for € 88,00 from eladiomf for example
