i am about ready to upgrade from my blade cx2 but i am going to try out a sim first to save me some money on parts. it looks like everyone is happy with the Phoenix sim for helis...will it work with my stock cx2 remote or with an adapter? has anyone done this? where is the best place to buy the phoenix sim? is there different models or updates? thanks

I'm pretty sure that my friend's blade CX2 transmitter has a 3.5mm stereo jack on the back - if yours does then you don't even need an adaptor - the Phoenix USB interface plugs straight in!

You can buy direct from their website: www.phoenix-sim.com, or one of their distributors (there's a list on the site under purchase).

They have a downloads section on the site with loads of official models, sceneries and there's a new update out too.

I use PhoenixRC with the CX2 transmitter; worked with the cable, right out of the box. They have some preset configs for it. Enjoy.

Whatever you do don't buy a used R/C simulator unless you know the dongle is included and present - this goes for all top-end sims not just Phoenix. If you don't have the USB interface then I'm afraid you'll need to purchase a new package...
